“The days of the Birkenstock-wearing hippie vegetarian versus the ravenous blood-thirsty meat eater are over. Those polarities are dissolving into a more amorphous and flexible consumer. I think the big trend is that animal meat eaters are eating less animal meat. And instead of eating animal meats they’re eating more vegetarian foods, they’re eating more tofu, they’re eating more of our products and our competitors’ products.”
